历史的车轮滚滚向前,战火纷飞的世界离我们远去,却又似乎近在身边。人们喜欢歌颂胜利的英雄,以此鼓舞后人奋进。然而战争史上依然存在无数的失败者,他们之中有的慷慨悲壮今人扼腕,有的愚蠢滑稽令人莞尔,无论怎样,他们都是人类历史上重要的人。无论今天如何评说他们,都不该忘记。我愿为他们造像,以此为警,以此为醒,以此祭奠那些战争中消逝的生命。
关于“人类生存”的话题是背负着社会责任感的艺术家不可回避的创作主题,而战争这个导致人类生存危机的永恒话题,也必然是一代代艺术家传承和探讨的方向,我非常愿意继承和背负这一使命。
在和平的大时代背景下,如何唤起人类对于战争的警惕,如何提醒人类珍惜宝贵的和平,我希望《败军之将》在继承“构建战争题材作品终将归于反战目的”的艺术逻辑基础上,给出了新的解决方案。
我尝试以游戏式的外表,把“残酷性”隐藏在“视觉”、“史实”之下的第三个层面里。《败军之将》抛弃了传统战争题材的严肃纪录态度,转而将策略调整为借用达达主意静物的搭建,有选择的对战争史上部分重要形象利用商业影像视觉技巧进行重塑。这种方式有效规避了间接经验带来的认知障碍和不确定性,同时也成功的把“史实”的讨论让位给通过形象态度构建而产生的“话题”。
不难看出,《败军之将》中带有强烈的波普意味,不同的是,波普的指向性通常是“实体”,而这组照片则更多导向了“欲望”、“可能”和“危机”。正如我心中始终回荡的声音,“我从来不敢忘记战争,但我希望它永远不要发生。”

I tried to hide the "cruelness" in the third dimension under "visual" and "historical" with a game-like appearance. The "Death of the Army" abandoned the serious record of the traditional war theme, and instead adjusted the strategy to borrow Dada's idea to build a still life, and selectively re-engineered some important images in the history of war using commercial image visual skills. This method effectively avoids the cognitive barriers and uncertainties brought about by indirect experience, and at the same time succeeds in giving up the discussion of “historical facts” to the “topics” generated through the construction of image attitudes.
It is not difficult to see that there is a strong pop in the "Devil's Will". The difference is that Pop's directionality is usually "entity", and this set of photos is more directed to "desire", "may" and "crisis".
